The next MIR symposium will take place on June 16 and 17 at Université de Toulon (France), on the La Garde Campus.
Awaited guests include: current and former MIR students, as well as academic and industrial partners of the MIR master’s program, renowned speakers, representatives of public authorities, UTLN officials, MIR teaching staff, and other guests. The 2026 MIR symposium will be an opportunity for scientific exchanges, networking, celebrating the graduation of the 3rd MIR cohort, and bringing this year’s MIR program to a close in a pleasant atmosphere.
On this event, the EMJMD MIR will have the pleasure of welcoming two distinguished speakers who will address the topic “Planning in Marine Robotics”:
- Prof. Barbara ARBANAS, Head of Research at the Centre of Excellence for Maritime Robotics and Technologies (MARBLE) in Zagreb, Croatia, where she leads research on maritime robotics and autonomous systems. Her work focuses on multi-robot coordination, distributed artificial intelligence, mission planning, and optimisation for heterogeneous robotic teams operating in complex marine environments.
- Prof. Gianluca ANTONELLI, Full Professor at the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio and Head of the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering.
